The arts at SA
Our arts curriculum is built on interdisciplinary inquiry, personal growth, and creative exploration, mixing historical, theoretical, and practical instruction across visual art, theater, vocal and instrumental music, dance, and visual thinking.
Students act, sing, build, and paint in courses, ensembles, and Intersessions, and 60% of our students take part in theater, music, or dance.
Programs
Five programs, one creative community.

Sing with the Coyote Choir or Honors Chamber Singers, play in Jazz Band or Rock Band, or record original music in our sound studios.

Drawing, design, painting, sculpture, and art history, with electives in digital photography, puppetry, collage, and lost art techniques like fresco and mosaic.

The Dance Corps, founded in 2017, performs ballet, ballroom, hip hop, lyrical, and swing, including student choreography, in an annual showcase.

Through the McNeely Family Artist Residency, visiting artists stay on campus for a period of time to work alongside students.

Faculty
Our visual and performing arts faculty direct productions, lead ensembles, and run the Studios.
Visit
Our performances are open to families and the community. Or see the arts in action on a Visit Day.
