How it works

Immersive, not touristy.

Adolescence is a great time to broaden your horizons, so the Passport Program makes international travel part of every student’s SA experience.

We offer four to six international Intersession courses each year. Many repeat every other year, so students have more than one chance to sign up.

Each trip has a specific focus. These are not tourist excursions, but immersive experiences.

Focus areas

Every trip has a purpose.

Trips combine travel with a clear area of study.

Science and sustainability

Science

Field research, ecology, and sustainability in very different environments.

Art, literature and culture

Culture

Art, literature, mythology, and the cultures behind them.

Service and language

Service

Service projects and real practice with a world language.

Part of Intersession

One week that stays with you.

Passport trips run during Intersession week, alongside on-campus and local courses.

Students who travel come home with new friends, new skills, and a wider view of the world.
