Connected community
We learn best together.
People learn best within the safety and support of authentic relationships, so we attend to the whole person.
We aim for a warm, accepting culture of connection, where students feel free to ask questions and try new things. Social-emotional growth is balanced with academic rigor, and teens get chances to stretch themselves.
Experimentation beyond the classroom, from class-building events to a robust co-curricular program, builds confidence and competence.
Community Meeting
The heart of our week.
Every week the whole school gathers for a student-run Community Meeting.

Beyond the classroom
Winning teams, too.
Our Policy Debate team has ranked #1 in the Golden Gate Speech Association four years in a row, and our Robotics team has reached the World Championships and earned multiple national awards.
Dances, back-the-pack spirit games, movie nights and other Student Leadership Council events give everyone plenty of chances to have fun.

Community Meeting
400 people, one room.
Community Meeting is the center of our week and often its emotional heart. Students run it, and the room hums with about 400 people sharing the same experience.
Participation is voluntary, apart from senior speeches. We laugh, cry, listen, give standing ovations and learn together.
Visit
Come meet our community.
The best way to understand an SA education is to see it in person. Join us for an Open House or Visit Day.
